We can't complete another school's Level 3 — here's why

Straight answer: we do not provide the firearms course for online Level 3 training purchased from another company. Texas documents your training on a certificate signed by the certifying school’s manager or authorized representative — we can only sign for training we delivered, we verify every classroom record, and forged or altered certificates get reported to DPS. The school that sold you the online course is responsible for completing your firearms training; if it has no firearms instructors (many low-cost online providers don’t), ask them for a refund — then take our online Level 3 and train with us end-to-end.

Renewing instead? Renewal students with an eligible commission are welcome at our range course regardless of where they first trained.

Level 3 Renewal (Recertification)

The two-year renewal package: 6-hour CE online plus your in-person firearms requalification.

Level 3 Renewal (Recertification)

Good news: this is the only online course you need. Our Level 3 recertification course is built to satisfy the renewal training requirements for both Level 3 and Level 4 — no phone call required to sequence it. Take the online recert, then complete the in-person Firearms & Defensive Tactics course to finish the DPS training requirements.

Every online recert student — Level 3 or Level 4 — finishes with the in-person Firearms & Defensive Tactics session. Texas requires it, and your renewal isn’t complete without it.

Level 4 Personal Protection Officer (PPO)

The protection credential: 15 hours across two consecutive in-person days. Complete Level 3 training first; the commission can be held or applied for together with your PPO application.
