Two halves. This page sells the first and tells you exactly how the second works, because students who learn that at checkout somewhere else end up on our phone lines annoyed at the internet.
The online course itself is the convenient half done right: instant access the minute you enroll, self-paced through the four state-required topics, pause-and-resume from any device. It’s the same legal and safety material as the in-person class, structured so you actually retain it — not a video playlist to outlast.
When you’re done (or before you start — Texas allows the range portion first), the LTC Proficiency session completes your training: one short visit, one qualification, and both halves reported to DPS for your application.
