Prerequisites
Retired law-enforcement credentials

Twenty-plus years of service shouldn’t end with hunting for a range that takes retired-officer qualifications seriously. We make it simple: any day a firearms course is posted on our calendar, our instructors run LEOSA (HR 218) and TCOLE qualifications alongside it. Email ahead, show up with your paperwork, shoot your qual, get your sign-off — done for the year.

The people running your line are career law-enforcement and military professionals, which means two things: your qualification is administered correctly, and nobody on that range needs an explanation of why it matters. Bring your completed TCOLE retired firearms identification paperwork (it downloads from tcole.texas.gov), your sidearm and ammunition, and your credentials — we handle the rest with the efficiency you’d expect from people who’ve stood plenty of quals themselves.

No online checkout on this one, by design. Email info@gostrapped.com with the course date you want to attend, we confirm your slot and quote the rate, and your annual requirement becomes the easiest thing on your calendar.

What's included — and what isn't

Included in this course

  • Your LEOSA / TCOLE firearms qualification, administered by our instructors during a scheduled range day
  • Instructor sign-off on your TCOLE retired-officer paperwork
  • A range full of people who respect the career you already served

Not part of this purchase

  • The TCOLE form itself — download the retired firearms identification card paperwork from tcole.texas.gov and bring it completed
  • Your retired-officer credentials — bring what you carry; we verify and qualify, we don't issue

What happens after you finish

You leave with your qualification documented and your TCOLE paperwork signed by the instructor — the annual box checked, properly. Most of our retired-LE students simply come back the same time next year; some pick up an LTC proficiency or a defensive course while they're at it. Either way, our calendar is your calendar: any posted firearms-course day works.

Straight answers

When can I qualify?

Any day we have a firearms course posted on the calendar — we run LEOSA and TCOLE qualifications alongside our scheduled range days. Email info@gostrapped.com with the date you want to attend and we'll confirm your slot.

Do you handle the TCOLE paperwork?

You bring it, we sign it. Download the retired firearms identification card form from tcole.texas.gov, fill in your portion, and our instructor signs off after you qualify.

What does it cost?

Call or email for current rates — qualification sessions are arranged directly with us rather than through online checkout, so a human quotes you and books you in the same conversation.

What course of fire do you run?

The appropriate qualification for your paperwork, administered by our instructors — email us your situation (LEOSA, TCOLE, agency requirements) and we'll confirm exactly what your qual day looks like before you drive over.

I'm not retired LE — can I shoot a qualification anyway?

This page is for retired officers, but you're in the right place: our LTC proficiency and Level 3 range courses cover civilian and security qualifications. Call and we'll point you to the right one.
