The Level 3 training is split into two separate sections. Online and In-Person and must be completed IN ORDER Register and complete the Online Level 3 Course (Click Here) Our Level 3 course INCLUDES the Level 2 Certification. The 10-hour Level 3 Firearms and Defensive Tactics Course must be completed by a licensed Level 3 Instructor who is affiliated with a licensed DPS Training School. Applicants must have at MINIMUM completed the Level 3 training prior to taking a Level 4 course. Register and take the 2-day in-person PPO course. Register and complete the Level 4 PPO application through TOPS.

Level 3 licenses must be renewed every 2 years. If you are up for renewal, verify your eligibility via the TOPS Website . In order to renew your Level 4 license just complete the Level 3 renewal process. Our Level 3 renewal training complies with the required training for both Level 3 and 4 renewals. Make sure you complete your renewal applications in TOPS!

The Texas Department of Public Safety requires all issued documents and applications to be completed within 90 days. DPS will not validate any certificate once it is 90 days old.

For a Level 2 and 3 License you need to be 18 years old minimum. For a Level 4 License, you need to be 21 years old minimum.

Complete the following steps to obtain your Texas LTC... Register for an LTC Class. There are two options, Online and In-Person. IN-PERSON Option To register for the In-Person Course CLICK HERE.
